Jonathan's 24 hour Coffee & Restaurant in Asakusa

We wandered out about 4AM the next morning and found the empty streets in Asakusa good for being tourists and rubber necking without getting in anyone's way.

This little shrine was on the doorstep of shop we passed heading towards Kappabashi Kitchenware Town

Kappabashi Kitchenware Town still deserted at 5AM on a Sunday.

So there were a few choices to eat in at this time in the early morning, but Jonathan's Coffee & Restaurant seemed easiest now that over tiredness was setting in.

This was my Salmon breakfast set, Steamed Rice, Lightly Pickled Vegetables, Pickled Shrooms and Miso Soup were sides to the Grilled Salmon & Fried Egg. The Salmon was still translucent inside so perfect for me and the pickled sides sharp, tangy, crunchy and perfect with everything together.

Unlimited drinks from the juice, tea and coffee bar were in the set price which was very cheap around £3 each. Plus we ordered some Sake each of course!.

OH ordered the Congee set, this was less successful, the broth the rice was cooked in was quite bland and the Pickled Plum in the sides was challengingly sour.

I thought the Crispy Little Fish side was pretty good, but that was solely my opinion.

This was a good 24 hour chain eatery that had a discount offer running if you visited and gathered 10 stamps, maybe a bit of overkill for just a fortnight visit to Tokyo, but good for anyone here for longer, happy with our visit.
